If you don't believe me, fire up a program like HTTP analyzer or HttpFox in Firefox or any debugging console with network monitoring. There's another mootools plugin that does just that (moolazyloader). Unfortunately this way nothing is displayed with JavaScript disabled. That way without JavaScript you still cannot see the images directly, but at least you can access them.
